After teh second semester the students in the Bachelor program start with the "Main Focus Module":
The main focus is on: structure of media systems and markets from a national and international perspective, media as organisations, different models, levels and the structural change of the public sphere, relations between media and politics.
The main focus is on: aims and expectations of media organisations and media actors, demands and strategies of actors from the fields of policy (media policy and regulation) and economy (marketization); media content and the processes in the field of political and economic communication.
Main focus on the recipients at the micro level; theoretical and empirical issues of media, cognitive and affective processes during media reception and subsequent media effects, e.g., agenda-setting, knowledge gaps, or media framing
In one of the main focuses (1-3), the student has to attend a lecture (fall semester) and a course (spring semester) (10 credit points)
In one of the main focuses (1-3), the student has to attend a lecture (fall semester) and a seminar (spring semester) (13 credit points)
In one of the main focuses (1-3), the student has to attend a lecture (fall semester) and a course over two semesters (fall and spring semester) (19 credit points)
