
The Assistant Professorship in “Political Communication/Political Behavior” contributes to research and teaching activities of the National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) Democracy. The NCCR Democracy is an interdisciplinary research program launched by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The program examines the key challenges to democracy today and traces them to two major trends: globalization and the growing influence of the media on politics. The field “Political Communication/Political Behavior” is concerned with the influence of news media on political attitudes and political participation.
