The media psychology, media use, and media effects section:
The section "Media Psychology & Effects" strives to advance and to develop theories, models, and methods in their research on media psychology, media use, and media effects.
Its members work in a variety of areas and topics using diverse quantitative and qualitative methods. Projects by members of the research team deal with persuasion through mass media, the effects of entertainment media, or online communication.
In addition to these areas of empirical communication research, members of the team teach classes in social science methods and statistical methodology. In these classes, as well as in MA theses, that are supervised by team members, theories of communication research are taught, discussed, and applied to real-world problems and situations.
